Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Finn's Manor, this beer is an unfiltered double IPA meant for drinking, not for judging. Hopped intensely with Hüll Melon, Azacca, Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc.

Poured from a 32 oz. crowler. DIPA that is supposed to be brewed in the NE style.

Pours a crystal clear golden orange color with a two finger off white head. Does not look like the haze bombs of NE.

Aroma pops of dank for days, white grape, honeydew melon, bright lemon, cherry (honestly), pineapple, and pine resin. The unique hops being used definitely lend to a very interesting nose. Has a sweet note from the malt that lends to it's juicy quality.

Taste starts NE-esque, with a bright juiciness consisting of herbaceous dankness, honeydew melon, and white grape. It then transitions into more of the same, but with the addition of pineapple, lemon, and a cherry-like flavor. The finish deviates from the NE style, as it dries out the palate considerably and brings a significant bitterness consisting of pine resin and citrus peel. There is some lingering juiciness of melon and pineapple, but it is overtaken by the more intense bitterness.

Medium body. Creamy and smooth carbonation. Oily and sticky finish. The creaminess is somewhat there, but I think it still needs a little more body from oats, wheat, etc. to put it in true NE style standards. Still drinks more like 6.5% than 8.1%.

Overall, this is a great beer, but it is not in the New England style in my opinion. It has flashes of it (aroma and taste up front), but even as they themselves have mentioned, it all starts with the haze, and this one does not have any of it. Maybe tap versions are different. I would put this more in the west coast category than anything given the dry and bitter finish. That being said, this is an excellent and very unique dipa (first time I've ever picked up cherry in a hoppy beer). If you are tired of the same old citrus and pine flavors in your dipa's and are in the Denver area, seek this one out.
