Pours a vibrant ruby red with a wispy light pink head. Nose is tart raspberry and cherry with a mellow lacto funk. Taste is a tart raspberry burst that will make you pucker. Extremely berry forward with notes of yogurt and milk sugar. Tart is the word for this beer for sure. It’s a bit unbalanced in that regard, maybe too tart but there is enough perceived sweetness from those raspberries to help cut the sour. Medium to light body with a dry tart finish. You’ll be thirsty for another sip.

this is a crazy beer, unsuspecting on the pour, milky and even sludgy looking, orange and pink at the same time, average white head, nothing remarkable there. the smell is good, piquant from the lacto and the tart raspberries and passion fruit, this definitely pulls their more tangy sides rather than their sweeter, which is awesome in this context. the taste is what blows me away, its so pungent, puckery, and surprising it kind of snaps my head back at the neck like smelling salts when i sip it, powerful and interesting, tons of clean sourness and then the layers of tart fruit, really natural but it sure is heavily dosed. lemon juice notes to this, some wheaty grain trying to ground it, and a sort of herbaceous freshness, intense but also really attractive and good. it really doesnt need the milk sugar, i wish these guys and everyone else would drop this from these styles, its getting old fast, the sweetness it adds is unnecessary, and there is already plenty of body here, it clashes with the bacterial sourness despite what everyone seems to think. still, this is an awesome beer, wickedly flavored, but super good and different. these guys are doing some great stuff right now!
