I got a can of this beer from my bestie from Charlotte, NC whom got it from a beer of the month club mixed pack. It poured a slightly hazy yellow with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had grain and subtle bitter fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright malt base with grain and bitter citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with perky carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Pale, soft yellow body; mildly cloudy; lively carbonation; decent head, white and persistent, creamy texture. Beautiful aroma; grassy, floral, notes of pear. Respectable flavor; very mild malt presence; moderate to heavy bitterness; a bit of raw wood note. Medium body; thin yet prickly on the palate; some dry astringency.
This is a fine looking beer but kind of falls apart with the taste and especially the mouthfeel. Oats were apparently used, but the beer lacks a lager and oat smoothness. The taste also comes across a tad thin and somewhat acrid overall. Okay but not great.
Pouring temperature: 43 °F; canning data: unknown canning data; ABV listed as 6.4% (web site lists it as 5.8%)

Murky pale golden body with a big white head. Aromas of lemon and lime zest within the bitter and grassy hops, oat and malt linger. Taste has the lemon and lime move out from just the hops, pervasive, hops cut into the oaty body well. One sip I love it with its firm yet fresh cut nature, the next I am underwhelmed by simple hops and oat with no support, left indecisive. Feel is pale and soft with a thicker yet light body, hops elevate out of the oak bath. A fun different beer, but not something I need to have again

On tap. White head with lace. Slightly cloudy straw yellow color.
This is delish. Light, soft, pillowy, crisp, clean. Earthy and grassy, bready and biscuity. Love the addition of oats to the lager. This is a crusher.

A: The beer is a bit hazy light pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that left a narrow collar around the edge and some lacing on the surface and down the sides.
S: Light aromas of lime and lychee are present in the nose along with notes of peaches.
T: The taste follows the smell but has a bit stronger flavors of lime and lychee. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied, a bit smooth, and rather clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The use of oats in this lager really lightens up the body of this lager, making it very easy to drink.

L: A pale partially unfiltered straw color with a slightly green hue. A two finger ivory head settles to a climbing tall frothy ring and moderate splotchy lacing.
S: Light but crisp aromas of lime, oak, and lemon rind. At the end a touch of residual sugar.
T: Follows the nose quite nicely. May not come off typically for the chosen hops, but it is hoppier than most Helles. Off-dry and almost wine-like in character (maybe in the Sauvignon Blank vein), but delicious.
F: Crushable, full stop.
O: I thought this was a fantastically refined lager. I would buy it again and again. Whether it went off as intended or was a happy accident, I care not!

Second attempt writing this review. Had it as the first beer off the plane when we went to Denver the first time in the summer of 2019.
Pours a pretty yellow, low levels of clarity and a full inch of bright white head. Second most attractive pour of the week (nod to Bierstadt Slow Pour). Aroma wasn't all it was cracked up to be. The sexy proprietary aroma hops (Mosaic, Citra, Galaxy) didn't drop what they normally do, and the foeder use didn't lend any woodiness to it beyond the feeling that you were smelling some underground air.
The taste brought a feint wood tone into the otherwise brisk and crisp lager notes. They talk about it being an oat lager but by the appearance and mouthfeel, I wasn't really able to corroborate this experience wise. It was a fun beer to check out as the first pour, but I ended up liking some of their ales moreso. I think they might have got stuck between trying to make a traditional helles and just used a feint amount of those non traditional hops resulting in a good, yet not good enough experience to warrant getting this to go.

Presentation: Draft, served in a stemless tumbler.
Appearance: The one finger, bright white head stays around for a little while and leaves behind a thin foam ring a lot of lacing all over the glass. It's a beautiful, clear, pale gold color.
Smell: It's a soft flowery smell with hint of musty oak in the background.
Taste: It starts soft and floral and then it moves towards some warmer malty and oat notes. It finishes with slightly bitter flavors of grapefruit and orange.
Mouthfeel: It's light to medium bodied, crisp and refreshing with medium carbonation.
Overall: An excellent lager with a good balance between the hoppy and grainy characters with a nice crisp and refreshing texture. It's very approachable and not bitter at all.
