L - Dark as noir, good lacing, residual head OK.
S - Patches of roast, mallow, toast, sweet on the nose but...
T - Dark roast, not cloying, drops the sweetness from the nose; has an interesting savory character with vanilla
F - great balance, warming, but not "hot" on the ABV impression
O - another fine foeder effort in transforming an often-underappreciated style (the Baltic!)
Tasted 2.14.20 at the brewery, on tap

Man, I love when good base beers get aged and get even better. That's the case with this one, as the Foeder and the aging process combined to give this a really smooth feel and taste, to the point where you wouldn't guess it is 12% ABV. Cerebral is really good at making beers like this, and I really enjoyed this one. It's a good Baltic porter at the start, but then gets more complex as it warms up, and it's not sticky or too sweet. Well done.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
