Undated can poured into a tulip. Guessing it’s somewhere in the range of 4-6 weeks old based on where it came from (Southern Grist 5th Anniversary party) and the canning dates on most of the other beers that were made available.
Attractive light orange-gold, fully opaque body with a soft glow. Mild eggshell head with minimal retention, but a few swirls resuscitates a creamy latte cap. Splotchy lacing all the way down. Looks a little thin for the ABV, but it’s certainly a juice bomb.
That becomes even more obvious on the nose. Wow. Wasn’t really sure what to expect from Galaxy and Cashmere, but this one is gloriously dank and oniony. Good amounts of muddled citrus, tropical fruits, berries, and wine grapes that provide a degree of balance against the weedy greens. But this one is all about ultra-dank, green onion stankiness, which I’m a sucker for if it has some sort of fruit juice and sweetness to provide harmony.
The taste gets close, but not quite all the way there. It’s much drier than I expected, though there’s certainly some juicy, semi-sweetness, primarily citrus and berry. It has moderate pith and bitterness, plus a green, herbal bite, but all of it is pleasant. The semi-sweetness (maybe a little sweeter than I’m letting on, based on the burbs) is really overwhelmed by the dank, oniony greens and mild bitterness, so it doesn’t quite reach the hopes for harmony. But it is incredibly juicy and drinkable. A touch more fruit juice sweetness would make this world class (for my palate, anyway).
Feel is more substantial than it looks, velvety soft and smooth. Really wonderful coating, but zero stickiness or chewiness. No alcohol heat, really nice carbonation with a slight prickle.
One of the juiciest (though dry) and oniony beers I’ve had in a while. And I’m digging it big time.

Undated can. Canned approximately 1/20/21 per Instagram.
L: Pours a hazy dark orange. Big head gets small quickly. Splotchy lacing.
S: Dank weediness and lemon/lime.
T: Follows nose. A fruity interlude midway. Finishes crisp with just a hint of dry bitterness. No burn. Alcohol well hidden.
F: Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation seems about right.
O: Very well done. Dank and juicy. Drinks super easy for 8.4% ABV.
