Barleywine’s journey through the vastness is storied and it’s legacy is legendary. We believe it deserves its place in the galactic order. Floor-malted Maris Otter and a touch of Colorado Wheat were double mashed for focused flavor and only East Kent Golding, that most English of hops, were used.
2021 vintage: 15 months of hibernation in 16 year Tennessee whisky barrels and the cosmic reverence was complete.
2022 vintage: Aged 16 months in 8-10 year grape brandy and 8-year Willett Rye Whiskey barrels.
2023 Experimental: Aged 32 months in Buffalo Trace Experimental Bourbon barrels.

Dark pour with flecks of ruby. A weak head of buildup is quick to settle into a relatively flat liquid.
The nose features grape brandy; jammy fruit, but balanced well by caramel candy and fruit cake undertones.
Palate fruit forward but balanced well by undertones of milk chocolate. Fruit owns the backbone; rich but complex, fruity but still retaining a barrel integration of bourbon staves and baking spice.
Mouthfeel is a touch thin but good coating. Mild warmth and bitterness. Overall could use more boil time but the thinner barleywine profile seems to work with more fruit-forward beers.
