Our Denver taproom is nestled just a few feet off Colfax Ave. In fact, when we first signed the lease we had a Colfax address (until the post office changed it). This iconic street is littered with local landmarks: from Casa Bonita and the Capitol Building to the Squire Lounge and the Bluebird Theater. When we bought a building precisely four miles east at Colfax and Florence in the Aurora Arts District, we knew we had to brew a beer to celebrate the Ave we know and love.
This American Corn Lager is our ode to Colfax. It’s exactly what we want to drink at our local dive bar, concert venue, or park hang. Corn is often (negatively) associated with mass-produced beers, but its use in this recipe helps dry out the pilsner malt and showcase the delicate hop bill. The result is a clean, refreshing beer that we revisit again and again.
Notes of Tortilla Chips, White Pear, Lemon Balm

Very clear, straw yellow in color. Head was tiny, white and fizzled away quickly. Nose is slightly bready. Taste is crisp, dry like white pepper. Clean, easy drinking beer

Revisited for the BA online AAL tasting (July 04th, 2024)
Very clear, pale yellow body; one-finger thick head, white and semi-creamy, long lasting. Fair scent; quiet, gentle sweetness primarily; very delicate hop spiciness. Good taste; light cereal grain notes with a modest sense of hop bitterness. Light body; soft and smooth on the palate.
What a difference a matter of months can make on how a beer appeals to the senses. Since there is no dating info on the can, I can't say if this is from the same batch I tasted nearly seven months ago or a new iteration. Regardless, it's still a nice, relatively low ABV beer, perfect for the summer months.

Ultra clear, pale yellow color; dense, lively carbonation; thick, white head, spongy and sculpted; partial rings and strings of foam cling to the glass. Bright, mellow aroma; light malt with an estery character; delicate green apple and pear. The taste follows along the lines of the smell; soft grain tones; light, fruity esters; very mild bitterness. Light bodied; soft yet deceptively full mouthfeel.
This is a wonderfully balanced and flavorful light lager. Very easy drinking and very satisfying for the style.
Pouring temperature: 42.6 ℉; canning info: n/a

Had on tap. Crystal clear yellow body with a finger of white foam, spotted lacing. Floral hop kisses to the otherwise corn malt nose. Taste has a brighter corn flavor to go with lager malts and yeast with a touch of flower petal and pear skin. Body is appropriately light, crushable, malty, smooth and clean.
