Bottle. Thick black color. Little tan head that fades.

Lots of charred barrel. Fudge, wet oak, bourbon, vanilla, molasses, caramel, baker’s chocolate. Dark cherry, dark fruits. Fairly roasted/charred.

Pretty solid. Heavy barrel influence.

This is a 13% booze bomb, but you don't actually get overwhelmed by it. Cerebral's base Here Be Monsters imperial stout is one of their best, and they've now made a bunch of different variants of it, depending on what they choose to throw into the barrel. This one, made with New Image Brewing, was very marzipan-heavy, but not super sweet even with that. There was still some balance to this despite the potential for it to just be too heavy. Another fine version of an excellent base beer.
