Poured from 16oz can into my 8th Wonder chalice. Canned 12/19/23. There’s an older entry for a Gose from Cerebral called Future Tense, so it sounds like they recycled the name into an IPA.
Appearance: pale orange hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam which leaves a nice chunky lace as it dissipates.
Smell: light orange, guava, and passionfruit aromas, atop a sweet malt base. The tropical composition is nice, although a little more volume would be good.
Taste: similar tropical profile to the aroma, with a sweet malt base. There’s not a lot of acidic pop to this beer, so it’s not truly “juicy” in my book, but it’s tasty enough. Just a little hint of zesty tartness could do a lot for this beer, though.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a decent enough hazy IPA and a pretty good beer overall. It’s a crowded market with high standards, so I don’t think this would be my go-to hazy, but aside from that it’s a pretty good beer.
