My second Cerebral brew arrives in a 500ML bottle. I will consume. It. All.
Black. Little evident life that is quickly asteroid-obliterated. The smell is astoundingly absent. Like, vaguely beer? Odd.
Mysterious Forces Blend 04 sings of barrel; this time it’s the apple brandy that takes center stage, though it is sharing liberally with the bourbon & softer, quieter cognac. Not coincidentally, the booze is unavoidable. The sum is that the actual ‘beer’ is a little lost. Soft roast, sweetness, not much else. Full, hearty, but the reliance on the barrel limits my interest in drowning in this.
Great barrels, but they cannot carry the brew to greatness; needs a stronger, more assertive base. Still good.
