Aged 32-35 months in a blend of 11 Year Old Fitzgerald and 9 Year Stagg Jr. Bourbon barrels.

This will be my only Halloween-themed review: I'll stick with my scary decorations in real life. 500ML bottled in January 2025.
Pitch black pour with scattered isles of razor-thin bubbles. Smells like flat, dark malts & whiskey.
Here Be Monsters - Old Fitzgerald/Stagg Jr. is basically a MTV reunion circa 2007. The barrels are stripped down, heavy, dominant, lacking any subtle notes. Malts, ditto. Heavy, sweet, supporting, simple. Very, very thick, borderline flat. Taking this solo is going on 2 1/2 hours.
Very tasty but somewhat flawed beer. Carbonation too low, mouthfeel too heavy, bottle too big unless shared. Despite all that, still very good.
