Lots of foam in the tall Hefeweizen glass. The aroma is quite nice and it does have some distinct wood. This is oddly sweet and while it seems to have plenty of carbonation the mouthfeel is thickish. You would think some American oak would be a good idea for an Oktoberfest beer, but it just seems to add some bitterness with a woody astringency that lingers too long in the aftertaste. It's OK for a gulp but it gets more insistently undesirable as I sip for review purposes. From the 16 oz can with no date.
