22 ounce bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy dark khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, raisin, plum, herbal, light smoke, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of roast/bready malts, lactose, earthy hops, and light-moderate fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. A bit too fruity/yeasty, but not overwhelming. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, smoke, charcoal, herbal, pine, light raisin/plum, and roast/toast/smokey earthiness. Moderate roast/char and herbal/pine hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, smoke, charcoal, herbal, pine, and roast/toast/smokey earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malts, lactose, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a nice roast/hop malt/bitterness balance; with no acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from roast/hop bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.6%. Overall this is a very good imperial milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malts, lactose, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Nicely rich and complex overall; but was more much more bitter/drying than I expected for the style. Feels more in line with a Russian imperial stout, but was still very enjoyable.

$28 for a growler if you really want one. Not quite that good but nice representation.
