Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a nice ruddy amber color with a thin cap of a little white foamy head. Some messy lace but not too much.
The aroma had some soft caramel malty tones, light biscuit, earthy hops and a little bit of pine.
The flavor was moderately sweet through the caramel malts. Pine didn't really substantiate too much here, seemed somewhat an afterthought. Light aftertaste of the caramel malts.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Semi-biscuity smooth and caramel-like finish.
Overall, pretty good as an amber/red ale, seemed more of an Americanized red than an Irish red (would have wanted some herbal quality for it to be considered Irish to me). Still, I'd welcome this again.

Deep reddish amber color with a decent off white head. Big caramel maltiness with just enough earthy hops to balance nicely.
