Swift Current brews at my place of employment - Stark Brewing.... so we had some cans of this lying around.... they happened to find their way to my place of enjoyment - HOME! Noted as 8.0% ABV, 70 IBUs, with Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe and Falconer's Flight hops used.....
Enjoyed out in The 'Zebo.... Pour was slightly hazy, with a rich, deep copper/orange color, like marmalade. Had light, fine carbo within, and a frothy, creamy light tan head. Started at 1" and ebbed slowly back, with nice lacing! Nose had lovely fruit, like tangerine and apricot. Had a medium body, and was fairly smooth, with a light, airy feel.
Taste had lots of citrus, but also a good amount of toasty malts in the foundation. Then it was semi-sweet breakfast fruit! Flavors of tangerine and apricot marmalade spread across whole-grain toast! Wonderful! A solid DIPA!! Prosit!!
