Unknown vintage; drank 2/10/18 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dark brown appearance.
A violent pour yielded a huge, noisy tan head; frothy lace.
Light roast coffee bean, fresh earth & faint root beer notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Cream, fresh earth & faint root beer flavors.
This wasn't very flavorful; if you're looking for a coffee fix look elsewhere. A big yawn here.

I'm trying this at Monks Pub in Chicago. It poured an opaque dark with thin off white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent has hints of coffee. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with good espresso...but not overpowering....presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid porter.

12oz draft pour into a snifterloudy shows an opaque, if not cloudy, dark brown body and briefly floats a 1/4in beige head leaving no lacing.
Aroma is roast coffee bean.
Flavor matches and coffee dominates.
Mouthfeel is medium, being fuller than actual coffee, leaving a wet finish with roast after taste.

Taste: robust toasted dark chocolate malts, coffee, with a crisp dry finish.
Very dark brown in color, semi opaque.
Roasted malt and coffee bean nose.
Medium to almost full body.
Big head with nice ringed lattice to lace on the pint glass.
Complex and yet traditional, great on that cool Fall evening.
