Had on tap. The bourbon and coffee were more present in the taste, but the smell had other complementary flavors such as molasses, biscuit, brown sugar, and faint raisin. Overall a nice brown ale with no weaknesses

Updating original rating of 5/26/18 on draft. Review is from a 12 ounce can into a snifter on 10/8/18.
Pours a somewhat opaque cola color, with a one and a half inch fizzy, foamy head and some soapy lacing. Aromas of coffee, whiskey, rye, caramel, toffee, light chocolate, some oak. The taste is similar- whiskey, rye, coffee, caramel, malt, some chocolate, light oak. There’s a slight tang, an off flavor. Smooth, a good medium to full body, a little on the high side with the carbonation.
The can is not as good as on draft at the release, mostly because it’s showing early signs of being infected in the flavor and the carbonation. The coffee and barrels are really good. Scores are a combo of draft and can.
