Taste: complex, spiced, black tea, coffee, ginger, woody, roasted dark chocolate malts, herbal, , cardamon, cinnamon. Same with the nose. Black, mostly opaque, Nice foam head, medium to full body. 60 IBUs

Had on tap. This one made my head explode. Bar I was at listed it as a stout, so first stout was a surprise! Clearly an herbal beer. You can taste the cardamom, cinnamon, and black tea up front, where the ginger, peppercorn, salt, roasted malt, barley, and soil are more subtle. Smell is more palatable, but otherwise the same as taste. Body did well to be so robust yet not overpowering to spices. Doesn't go down the easiest, but some beers are meant to be wrestled with!
