12oz undated can from 11/19 release poured into a pint glass shows a clear, dark, copper colored body supporting a 1/2in head of cream-colored medium bubbles that eventually falls to irregular islands, an edge-hugging ring, and animal skin lacing.
Aroma is roasty, almost to the point of smoky, malt with a flowery air.
Flavor matches and, when combined with a medium feel, a consumption demanding action takes effect leaving a clean, wet finish.
Overall a great way to evolve from Octoberfests to porter's and stouts with the season.

12oz can, no apparent freshness date. Thanks to Derek for giving me a can to try. Mahogany colored bier with a tall, fluffy beige head that holds good retention. Spicy hop aroma with dark malt and yeast. Flavors are dark grainy malts, caramel, nut, anise, and earthy/spicy hops. Light-to-medium body, moderate carbonation, balanced finish. A good example of the style, but hard to compare with the authentic German brewed ones.
