Cafe Brulot Imperial Milk Stout. Bugbear brandishes its fearsome 10% ABV with all the poise of its goblinoid namesake. A beer as far-out as its monster moniker, this release of imperial milk stout is modeled to mirror the flavors found in Cafe Brulot, a legendary NOLA cocktail featuring Cognac, cinnamon, black coffee, and orange/lemon citrus flavors.

12 ounce can into a snifter. Had 1/7/20.
Pours an opaque dark brown, with a one inch foamy head and some spotty cling. Aromas of orange peel, milk chocolate, lemon peel as it warms, some coffee and vanilla, light brown sugar, hint of cinnamon. Flavors of pretty strong lemon peel, malt, brown sugar, some coffee and chocolate, light orange peel. Smooth, very good full body, well carbonated.
Pretty good, but the citrus in the flavor seemed out of proportion. It didn’t spur thoughts of cognac, but if they actually aged it in cognac barrels, bet it would be really good.

Taste: Unique cognac notes, cinnamon, citrus, coffee, hint of sweet, orange peel. Same with the boozy nose. Black/brown hue, opaque, with tan ringed lace. Medium/full body. Herbal notes makes it a bit lighter in mouthfeel.
