We took our base English-Style Barleywine, Your Dungeon or Mine, and aged it for 9-months in Rum Barrels. Sweet Malt, a delicious caramel-rum finish, and delightful barrel notes.

500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 10/7/22.

Pours an orange amber, fairly clear, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and faint specks of cling. Aromas of rum, caramel, malt, some figs, light oak and char. The flavors are mostly the same- rum, caramel, figs, malt, light oak, some hop bitterness, especially on the finish. Smooth, a good lighter medium body, appropriately carbonated.

Pretty good overall. The rum barrels are used effectively, and the flavors are at their best fully warmed. The base is tasty, but could use a little more intensity.
