Poured hard from a tall can into a snifter glass, forming a few fingers of frothy light brown head. Slowly faded to a ring of lacing on a deep brown/black body. Smell is malty sweet and a little roasty. Taste is a malty background, with notes of chocolate and a bit of coffee. Mild to moderately sweet. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A pretty yummy mocha flavor, as described.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a two and a half inch, creamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Not much lacing to speak of.
S: A pretty good, but not great, aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, booze, and cream.
T: Tasted of a bit of booze (less than expected, considering the ABV%), some light cream notes (a fleeting presence), a fair amount of chocolate (could've used more), a burnt quality, a lot of roasted malt (present throughout), and some coffee notes. A decent enough flavor, but lacking in some areas. Still, not bad.
F: A so-so amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven beer, but it has its charms. Worth a try.
