(Collaboration with Magnanimous Brewing) - Poured a copper mud body with decent head and touch of lace patches down the glass. A mild aroma of figs and toffee and possibly vanilla (compared to other Magnanimous beers that are "drenched" in vanilla it is hard to tell). Thick body, not too heavy or sticky, well-hidden booze, has a medium sweetness that seems to come across mainly as figs and raisins along with a smidge of caramel. Slightly drying as beer warms and you do get notes of booze on the finish on this slow sipper.

On tap at the Wall of Beer in Clemson SC.
Appearance. Clear golden body with a good off-white head.
This barleywine is made with vanilla and nutmeg. It has well hidden ABV and a nice, subtle addition of vanilla. As is to easily the case with nutmeg, there's a bit too much of it, leaving this unbalanced and unharmonious. It would benefit from less nutmeg and, very likely, some aging.
