I stopped and visited Harsens whilst in Port Huron for Silver Sticks Hockey Tournament. It is a neat joint on a main drag just outside the "downtown" area of Port Huron. It was more a restaraunt place with tables upon entry and a bar along the back that looks into the brewing area. Seemingly plenty of seating. The quality of the beer was decent but not necessarily note worthy. Guy behind the bar was friendly. There was only 5 beers available so selection was somewhat limited. This place does serve food....I did not try any but the barkeep said it's very good. Overall it's worth visiting if you're in the area....but not a destination spot.

This place has improved since it's inception. It's a small brewery with a kitchen. They have a beer that's always on tap, an oberon/blue moon clone called CIT. The other 6/7 beers they have rotate. Today they had on a dunkelwiezen, a brown ale (which was excellent), a stout, amber ale, maybe their farmhouse ale and a gose.... or something like that. The idea seems to be to hit different styles, which is admirable. They've been experimenting with the newer styles of ipas (NEIPA and milkshake ipa) along with brewing a nice standard one. My only complaint is lunch is a little pricey with a beer figured in, but the food is good. So I'll be back for sure, as I have a number of times already.
