Just nicely tangy with a spritzy mouthfeel. It's a well-made showcase for Eureka hops with a fragrant xxx. Interesting tastes of lime and even a touch of avocado. Something like passionfruit and orange peel with a resiny finish.
Pleasingly malty with the residual sugar balanced nicely by the moderate acidity. Overall a fairly intense hoppy brew for a Pale Ale but it's just mildly bitter. Pine and plums! This is my first beer from Wet Coast and I'm looking forward to a visit soon. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a big three finger white head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, orange, light mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, lemon, grapefruit, mild tropical fruit. Hops and malt die out a bit into the finish, which has moderate bitterness, but little lingering herbal hop flavors. Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation, somewhat less than I expected from the robust pour. The malt body seemed more like a pale ale, but the hop bitterness was definitely in the IPA range. Not sure if it’s the stand-alone Eureka hops, but the flavor complexity seemed muted. Initially didn't seem that hoppy, but does finish well with hop bitterness, but not much residual hop flavor. A good, but not completely balanced one hop IPA.
