Poured from 16oz can bought at the brewery into a dimpled mug. Canned 2/16/23.
Appearance: nearly black body with some brown highlights when held up to the light, and a thick finger of frothy tan foam atop. Looks good!
Smell: a rather dry roasted malt aroma with a hint of caramel at the very end. Not overly complex, but not bad at all.
Taste: nicely roasty malt flavor that is dry up front, letting in a little sweetness at the end. Bitterness is on the higher side, probably due to the roasted malts, and there's a subdued, earthy hop flavor. I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good carbonation and a good creaminess; it's creamy despite being rather on the lighter side.
Overall: a totally solid dry stout. You don't see too many of these, these days, and I am into it.
