I had this beer on-tap in a tulip glass at the brewery in Monroe.
Appearance: medium dark brown hue with some haze and a finger of tan foam atop.
Smell: kind of a sweet dark-fruit aroma with some chocolatey notes. There's kind of a raspberry aroma thing going on too. Interesting, though it doesn't have the richness I associate with the style.
Taste: like there aroma, there's kind of a chocolate-raspberry thing going on. Sweetness is moderate for the style, though there's an astringent note as well. A serviceable beer, but underwhelming for an imperial stout.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a reasonably flavorful beer but it lacks some of the richness and smoothness I associate with an imperial stout.
