Not just another pretty face, our Rose will crack you with her shillelagh and make you love her. A drier finish than many Irish Reds, with a deep ruby red color and rich, malty flavor.

DATE: March 8, 2019... OCCASION: a day of prepping the house ends with a night of anticipatory St. Patrick's Day drinks... GLASSWARE: Man Skirt pint... pours from an hours-old grunt a dark amber--almost velvet--body, rife with bubble clusters... they settle into a short, tight, half-finger, off-white ring... equally light caramel, fruity hops that suggest berry and apple, and a toasted nuttiness that is warming... its consistency is medium-bodied, tending towards thin, with little to note at the teeth and a bit coating at the throat... this is drinkable, and at 6%, a balanced companion for a television night... the nuttiness is apparent in the profile, as are the toasted malts... the hard fruits and damp hops make for a reasonable experience... this isn't one I would pass on, but it's not one I would seek either...
