DATE: May 20, 2022... OCCASION: kicking off the Battlebots Season 6 tournament bracket with the family--it's the Robot Fighting Time! GLASSWARE: HopDevil nonick... pours a handsome, dark chestnut body both murky and mostly opaque... its head is a craggy, piled ochre smear, even and thick, one that leaves an impressive coral coat... subtle, soft bread notes, caramel, grape, toasted cracker, and smooth nuttiness... man, is this a beer you can sidle up to a bar with--highly drinkable, smooth, almost hearty without being pushy, textured and balanced.... its flavor profile is that sweet spot of maltiness and hoppiness--caramel, toasted bread, and light spiciness melds with resin, grapefruit and lemon... this works well as an easy-drinking, all-night kind of beer... another great session beer from Man Skirt...

Obtained a can in a trade - my first opportunity to taste a Man Skirt product. Haven't had many Amber Ales recently as they've seemingly been pushed off the shelves by IPAs. Very simple yet attractive can design. Product lives up to what I'd expect from an Amber Ale - nice blend of hops with equal emphasis on the malt. Easy drinking and flavorful product with a very appropriate 5.6% ABV. I'd be a repeat purchaser if I travel to an area where the brewery distributes.

Pours amber with very little head. Aroma is light and fruity/berry. Taste is hoppy and sweet. Feel is good and smooth. Overall an easy drinking pale ale.
