DATE: March 15, 2019... OCCASION: breaking with tradition--no visit to State Patrick's Day--I will create my own pre-game with this growler from Liquor Factory... sadly, this is another one the Man Skirt gents do not bottle themselves, so I needed to go elsewhere... pours a jet black body with a creamy ring of finger-thick tan brown head, one that suggest lactic consistency... intense milkiness and competing coffee bean, a musky chocolate, welcoming toasted malts, and light cereal... its mouthfeel is inebriating--at 4.5%, extremely drinkable and begging for an all-day drinking engagement, though it retains a harsh, almost acerbic sharpness--is it dry? not quite... creamy too, and medium-bodied, somewhat hearty and lingering with the right intention...chocolate milk and coffee are front and center, with hints of peat, light fruits, sweet sugars and a light toffee... this is a worthwhile contribution to the milieu of the holiday and another strong offering from the local guys....
