This primordial Greek God is the embodiment of darkness, his Black IPA bringing you roast and chocolate, along with citrusy and earthy hop notes. Hopped the same as our White IPA, try them both for the full experience.

On draught at the brewery. It pours ink black with mahogany hues when held to the sunlight. It has a thin but attractive, light khaki head. The lacing is impressive - thick and elegant. The smell is really pleasing with coffee, tobacco, roasted malt, burnt nuts, and even a whiff of vanilla. The taste is decidedly burnt and bitter. It reminds me of a Baltic Porter. There are burnt coffee grounds, roasted malt, bitter, burnt nuts, char, and tobacco ash. It finishes decidedly bitter but in a really good way. The mouth feel is medium-bodied with a pleasant level of carbonation, and at 6% ABV it's extremely quaffable. Overall, I am impressed by this offering. While it lacks a fruit presence, it's a great example of the style. I think it's the best beer I've had from Man Skirt. I wish they canned it.
