El Capitan is the best of both worlds. It is the bridge over the continental divide, the location where New England IPA meets West Coast IPA. It has all of the body with some of the bite. El Capitan Mountain IPA is the cool breeze enjoyed after reaching the peak.

12 oz can, no packaging date.
L: Pours with a short white head, some rockiness to the head. Leaves quite a bit of lacing at the top. A very light orange, almost yellow haze.
S: Up front is citrus and melon with some stone fruit lingering around. Kind of mild for an IPA.
T: Matches the aroma. Orange and melon initially, Finishes with some grapefruit and the slightest tinge of hop biterness. Not a heavy flavor compared to other NE IPAs, although this one does tout itself as somewhere in between a West Coast and New England IPA.
F: Very smooth. Medium body, easy drinking with light carbonation. Finishes dry and doesn't linger too much on the tongue. A very drinkable beer.
Overall: A solid offering that's not terribly remarkable with a kind of in-between styles approach. Goes down very easy and is sessionable at 6.2%.

12oz canned 6-29-20. Opened 7-6-20.
1 finger white head, good retention, sits as a solid cap and leaves a full sheet of lacing.
Orange and fully opaque against the light.
Good looking beer.
Aroma: Lots of melon. Stone fruit - peach. Some citrus.
Flavor: More melon, orange, lemon. Subtle grapefruit bitterness.
Feel: Super smooth, soft mouthfeel.
Medium body, low-medium carbonation. Mild, low key bitterness keeps the beer dry.
Excellent drinkability.
Very Good.
