Erik the Red is a legendary figure- an intrepid Norse explorer, famous for discovering the vast territory of Greenland, among other exploits. But this ‘Aric’ guy is clearly someone else. An obscure, unsung hero of craft brewing, perhaps?

Namesake aside, this Imperial Red is an exploration in ingredients. This release showcases the novel ‘Mars’ malt from Gambrinus Malting, expertly crafted to deliver a deep red color to beer, along with a rich array of bready, toasty, and malty sweet flavor. Of course, great malt character warrants a matching complement of hops- so we double dry-hopped this formidable ale with a powerful blend of El Dorado, Mosaic, and Simcoe.

‘Aric the Red’ is a collaborative effort with Bird Creek Brewing & RahrBSG. This Imperial red ale is for the bold, the adventurous, and those who dare to labor in the name of premium craft beer.
