Nice brewery/restaurant located in a small town. Inside has a strong smell of hops and barley. This place produces some of the best IPAs in the state, glad to know it smells like that. Lots of different beers on tap with a different types being offered. Waitstaff is very homey and nice and the food looked pretty good. Will definitely be going back.

Out in the county, the taproom has tall ceilings, upscale rustic feel. Staff were nice, food was decent, the Scottish ales and stouts were tasty. I would visit again.

Great place to take the family. The food is great but not a big selection, price's are good. The staff knows the beers and is very helpful. It's the old police station and was a warehouse once? They will be Closed till June 15, 2019 for a remodel...
Yes we have been back a few times and worth a visit for the beer and food.

Have been here a total of three times now. Food is good, beers are excellent. Wife likes the popcorn shrimp best. I'm working my way through the menu and the beer list. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Growlers fills available. If on tap, try the double dry hopped M43.

The location is a bit out of the way. The food is amazing. Great menu, large, and good quality food. The beer menu is great and a nice chance to see what they can do outside the normal NEIPAs. Definitely worth the drive.

Old Nation is a cool spot. You can smell the mash as you park, which is pretty cool. The building is huge, but the dining area is pretty small, because they do everything in house. Beer is great, I love M43. Best fried cheese curds I think I've ever had.

Nice open, tall ceiling, building with a pleasant patio. Pretty typical brewery vibe.
Beers are all good quality and there is a surprising variety considering that they are so well known for their hazies, I got to sample a lovely vienna lager, a wee heavy, a brown ale, and an english golden in addition to their myriad IPA iterations.
Food was acceptable pub fare and the service was adequate if a bit aloof.
All in all about what you can expect from brewpubs these days.

Came for dinner wanting to try more from these guys as I had a few of their canned hops and loved them. Pedestrian taproom with a nice outdoor area. Good service, nice option of to go hops. Food was solid.... pulled pork for me and pastie for my buddy. Pretzel was huge. Hops were awesome, that is where they shine. Rest of the beers were fine, just not on par with their hops. Enjoyed the visit.

My wife and I made this brewery a destination stop to see what all the hype is about their beers and to have lunch. The place is located in an industrial building along the main highway (appropriately named M-43) coming into town. I was expecting something smaller given that this is a new brewery with growing pains, so the size of the taproom was a surprise. It has an industrial feel, but some nice touches warm it up a bit. The brewing equipment is visible thru a wall of windows. A large bar with about 20 stools is along the rear wall, and several TVs were showing sports. A patio at the front of the building had snow on the tables, thus unused on this day.

We ordered a sampler flight of 6, and we discovered that the beer hype is appropriate for most of of their beers. Both of their renowned NEIPAs were available and were worth the visit right there. Three of the others were also notable, but the Berliner Weiss we felt was a little mild, although still a good version. Overall, our scores added up to just over a 4.0 for this review.

The food menu is a bit unique (it was St. Patrick's Day, but where have you ever seen a Reuben pasty?) with its items, and the food that we ordered was very good. Overall, it's a notch or two above pub grub. There are wines and sangria available for the non-beer drinkers, plus beermosas are also offered.

I can't seem to think why anyone would rate this a 1 or 2. This beer is amazing! It does remind me of M-43 but I don't think that is bad. I live in Owosso, so I can get it fresh all the time. Yea for me!!!

Underrated. A small brewery off a dirt road this place isn't Founder's or Bell's. It's much smaller and more relaxed. The food is pretty good, and certainly a good value. People are friendly and helpful. But here the beer is the star- if you like easy drinking beer this is your place. I definitely recommend the boss tweed which has a shockingly high alcohol content for something so refreshing.

If this brewery were in a larger city I have to believe it would have a better rating.

Nice place. Great brews. Food was great for pub food. From out of town and their Boss Tweed is my favorite beer in Michigan so far. Pretty wide selection.

Stopped by the brewery for lunch and beers after an MSU tour with our youngest son. (Coming from PA.) 2:00 in the afternoon during a week day and the place is half full, very nice!

Big wide open cement floor room with two story high ceilings. Sports TV's located all around the entire room. As dumb as it sounds, I really "dug" the light fixtures that were composed of raw mixed/various vintage looking bulbs.

A large/diverse beer menu, great food, reasonable pricing, bottles/cans/growlers "To Go". Old Nation is brewing some amazing beers. What is there NOT to like about this place?

Stopped for lunch on a Monday. Not busy, but decent crowd. 14 of their own on draft, including all the NE stuff that put them on the map. Nice taproom with tall ceilings and 20 person bar

The beer is awesome, the food generally solid. The selection is wide, Old Nation oriented. A popular spot, the service is overwhelmed a bit, but friendly and helpful. A nice place to go and great beer that is the true draw.
