A- This one pours a solid golden color and shows very nice clarity. The carbonation is impressive with all sorts of aggressive bubbles rising swiftly to the top of the liquid in many columns, breaking at the top, providing a head that starts off a couple of fingers thick, before settling into a thick patchwork of white film that swirls around about like it thinks it belongs there, which of course it does! There isn't too much of lacing to be had, but rather there is an oily, maybe watery film that coats the inside of the glass, but it doesn't bother me all too much. Overall a decent looking, if not only an above average looking mild ale.
S- This has a malt heavy profile, with a biscuit like sweetness, caramel and pie crust richness, alongside some grainy and slightly grassy dryness. The finish is clean, dry and of mild hop bitterness. Simple and malty are the main points to discuss here.
T- Again, this is a malt forward brew that showcases caramel, light toffee, vanilla, baked biscuit/cookie, raw barley grain, dry grassy notes, and the finish is lingering sweet with malts, grass, and the hop bitterness is mild, yet noticeable....just an easy on the palate flavor profile overall!
M/O- Light to medium in body, and the carbonation, while plentiful, is smooth! This is extremely drinkable, with a lower alcoholic number, and it is easily forgotten about, allowing the average beer drinker to enjoy several of these during a session. I would enjoy this with pizza and basic pub fare, but find it plenty flavorful and with enough body to enjoy and appreciate on its' own. Would definitely have this one again in the future....a nice entry into trying this brewery out!
