A- The brew pours out of the can a dark chocolate brown color, with hints of coffee, cola and root beer hues when held up against a white light. There is a dark toffee like head that starts out around a solid finger in thickness before noisily fizzling out into literally nothing....literally.....it looks like a still beverage. I don't really see much of anything for lacing and nothing for lacing either.

S- I do get notes of the pecans that were used for conditioning, alongside cocoa nibs, muted toasted coconut sweetness, marshmallow vanilla richness, touches of charred rum barrel booziness, mocha coffee, coffee liqueur and just sweet and a finish that is of coconut creme dark chocolates....very rich smelling!

T- The flavors follow suit to the aforementioned aromas well, and I find that the sweetness that I detected in the smell has given way to a much more balanced flavor profile, especially in the chocolate and coconut. There is a certain nuttiness that is contributed by the Pecans, which also are adding to the robust balance. There are some bittering cocoa, dark roast coffee bean grinds and burnt charred boozy rum flavors that hit the back and sides of the palate hard. The alcohol is also duly noted, and provides a bit of an astringent note that makes my mouth contract when tasting this, especially on the finish, where the booze lingers long after the swallow.

M/O- This I would put more in the medium-heavy area of body, and while the carbonation wasn't really noticeable upon appearance, there is definitely some fizzy tight bubbles popping on the palate. Overall this is flavorful, and easy enough to drink (even though I wouldn't wan't more than one of these in a sitting). It's decent, and could provide a nice side to an English breakfast near the fireplace on a cold Winters' morning! Would like to try this one again sometime.
