Look: It pours amber with reddish hues and some haze. It has a large tannish and reddish head. Head retention is excellent.

Smell: The aroma has plenty of caramel and citrus to start with. There are lower toffee notes as the beer warms.

Taste: There are toffee and caramel flavors with some citrus. There is some slight floral in the background.

Feel: It has a medium body with a slight bit of slickness to it.

Overall, a balance between the malts and the hops with the malts being stronger in the initial taste and the hops becoming more dominant in the finish.

A: Pours a slightly murky opaque dark mahogany in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate garnet red + ruby red + amber + chestnut brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense creamy foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a couple of medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of citrus/orange, citrus/grapefruit, floral, herbal, and pine hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of citrus/grapefruit, herbal, and pine hops and slightly less than moderate flavors of citrus/orange and floral hops. The hops contribute a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a light amount of smoothness mid-body.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. A nice combination of hop flavors/aromas to match up with the malt profile. Enjoyable and I would gladly get it again.
