16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of fluffy foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, pineapple, orange, mango and sweet caramel. Great tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Had this American Imperial IPA poured from pint can, muled back from North Carolina by my better half, into nonic pint.

Nicely balanced for a huge IPA, with a definite West Coast vibe in the aroma and a midwest take on the malt, but finally rather straightforward and uncomplicated.

Shared 16oz can.
Pours cloudy, pale golden with a weak head.
Mild for style, although it has a lingering grapefruit dominated aftertaste.
Medium body with medium light carbonation.

A: Pours a murky almost milky dark golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate burnt orange + honey + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a couple of small to medium sized patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange pith, tropical/mango, citrus/orange, and pine hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + wheat + caramel + oat malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are slightly lighter than moderate flavors of biscuit + wheat + caramel + oat malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit, citrus/orange pith, tropical/mango, citrus/orange, and pine hops which impart a light to moderate amount of bitterness which lingers for a moderate amount of time leaving a moderate lingering citrus + pine hop flavor.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a light amount of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish. Light hints of alcohol warming in the finish as well.

O: Drinks pretty easily considering the strength and the alcohol is pretty well hidden. Enjoyable with a pleasant hop profile and an enjoyable bitterness which fades into a triple NEIPA.

13 oz draft, $6. Opaque and the colour of butterscotch. A small, off-white head that fell quickly leaving a little lace. A subtle hop aroma with floral and citrus notes. No malt aroma. Strong hop flavour, bitter orange, pine and a touch of soap. Robust bitterness that builds slowly and lingers nicely into the aftertaste. A touch of sweet, bready malt. Clean fermentaion. Noticeable soft alcohol flavours. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. A little alcohol warmth and astringency. A well-executed New England "triple IPA" that looks great and has a bitterness that grows on you.
