A: Pours a murky hazy pale golden orange in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate pale golden yellow + pale orange + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a medium to large sized patch of thin film covering a little more than 50% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of juicy tropical/mango, citrus/lemon, citrus/lemon zest, and herbal hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of caramel + biscuit + oat malts with moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of freshly brewed coffee + vanilla.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of caramel + biscuit + oat malts with moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of coffee and light to moderate flavors of vanilla. Finally there are moderate flavors of juicy tropical/mango, citrus/lemon, citrus/lemon zest, and herbal hops which impart a hint of bitterness leaving lingering tropical + citrus + coffee + vanilla flavors. Very light amounts of roasty bitterness from the coffee as well.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light to moderate amounts of soft/fluffiness mid-body with a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Enjoyable and surprising as it was to me, the coffee + vanilla flavors work really well with the hops in this IPA. Definitely one that I would get again.
