A: Pours an opaque thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate dark chestnut brown + dark cola brown + garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy dark mocha head that slowly reduces to a small patch of thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of milk chocolate along with moderate aromas of roasted + chocolate + caramel + oat malts with moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. Moderate aromas of cocoa powder + dark chocolate + cacao nibs.
T: Upfront there are moderate aromas of roasted + chocolate + caramel + oat malts with moderate amounts of lactose sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of cocoa powder + dark chocolate + cacao nibs. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of milk chocolate which linger well through the finish.
M: Medium to full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: Easy to drink with extremely well hidden alcohol but definitely more of a slow sipper due to the sweetness (this beer is like dessert to me). Really enjoyable flavors of chocolate + cocoa powder + and cacao nibs. Fantastic - these big sweet stouts never disappoint from Casita Cerveceria.
