Pours ink black with a half finger deep mocha colored head atop that is gone pretty quickly.Roast and char dominate the nose, molasses comes thru underneath as well as some alcohol sweetness as it warms.A pretty even mix or earth, roast, and char upfront then becoming intertwined with chocolate, dark fruit, and vanilla into the finish.Really straight forward and not overly nuanced,it has everything you want in a big stout.

021620: Inverted the can a few times before pouring. Dark and oily in the glass. Frothy brown head that leaves minimal lacing. Light cocoa and coffee on the nose. Milk chocolatey and subtle, earthy coffee with fuller mouthfeel. Runes of residue in the glass when finished.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Brewmasters - Wilson, poured into a snifter glass. Had a coal black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of creamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Above average lacing.
S: A very enticing aroma of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, and hops.
T: Tasted of a decent amount of roasted malt (present throughout, but subtle), a mild shot of hops (mostly in the finish; a fleeting taste), a ton of coffee (the big attraction here), and some chocolate as well (always nice to have). This is a big, robust, and warm flavor. Definitely a coffee bomb. Not exactly complex, but certainly delicious.
F: A so-so amount of carbonation with a super smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: A thoroughly enjoyable flavor. Drinkable.
