500 mL bottle, I think. Black body. Smells of lots of cinnamon, peppers, chocolate. Tastes of cinnamon, chocolate, bourbon. Vanilla and chocolatey sweetness. Bourbon gets stronger in the back end. It's got too much cinnamon. Heavy, pretty sweet, but cinnamon is so dominant. Way too much cinnamon for me.

Many thx to CarolinaCardinals for this can!
A - Pitch black pour with no lacing.
S - Cinnamon, peppers, chocolate and cocoa, and some spiciness on the nose.
T - Chocolate, toasted chocolate, coconut, vanilla, and ends on the sweeter side with warming on the way down.
M - Big viscous, light syrupy texture that leaves a light sugary coating on the lips and warming in the back of the throat.
O - Pretty fantastic!

Deep brown color where light barely passes through the center of the glass. Moderate starting head but it settles quickly to fine rim bubbles. No lacing remains after each sip except for an occasional tiny spot.
Coffee aromas up front followed up by vanilla and cinnamon.
This is a rich beer in both body and flavor with plenty of coffee (burnt patent malt) and vanilla. There's plenty of cinnamon as well which affects the aftertaste. I detect alcohol, particularly in the swallow.

Excited to have another beer from what I think is hands down the best brewery in North Carolina. Poured into a snifter (because I was in a snifter mood). Deepest dark brown with a hint of red held to a strong light. 1 3/4inch darker tan head that fairly quickly shank to 1/4 inch, but held that. Chocolate & vanilla on the nose - nose not being my strong suite. Chiles hit immediately, with the next impression being caramel. Two things really stand out for my taste. The feel is deep, smooth. There is a bit of burn - could be chile because this does not give an alcohol hit despite being 13% abv. This is an experience you need to be in the mood for - deep, dark, luxuriant. This brewery delivers every time.

Inky black body, opaque; just a thin rim of brown foam inside the glass. Roasted and charred grains aroma; plum brandy and whiskey barrel; leather. Complex flavors; raisins, cardamon and cinnamon; subtle chili pepper snap; dark chocolate; anise; bourbon. Heavy body; sludgy and sticky; huge boozy warmth throughout.
A beautifully intense and flavorful barrel aged imperial stout that hits the nose, taste, and palate in all the right ways.

Very dark appearance with slight tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a slightly sweet cinnamon with a touch heat. Taste is a also a very pleasant cinnamon with some heat. Great feel.
