It makes a big difference whether you drink this beer cold or warm!!! I took a few sips while it was cold and experienced a nasty aftertaste - a bad mix between the chocolate and the maple syrup. As the beer warmed up, the flavors seemed to mix better and the smooth, chocolaty taste and maltiness took over with the maple syrup in the background. This beer was poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass. It featured a dense dark brown color and a dark brown fizzy head that disappeared quickly. No lacing on the glass. The aroma and taste were much improved after the beer warmed. Mouthfeel was rich and creamy. No real alcohol presence. On the whole, not bad but I have had better stouts

Ebony with a 1/2" tan head, which slowly fades. Light lacing.
Aroma is cocoa, maple, caramel, coconut. Sweet
Taste is dark chocolate, maple, coconut, a distinct nuttiness, roast malt, astringent.
Full body, light carbonation. Oily finish.
Outstanding! This is a very good stout.

Those of you old enough to remember those chocolate sample boxes at your local five and dime will relate to this brew.
Pours dark brown, nearly black, thick and with a nice head of foam that leaves wonderful lacing behind. Aroma is chocolate through and though. Taste is instantly chocolate with perhaps, if one concentrates, a light maple flavor, though this is by no means certain. A similarly indistinct nuttiness can also be (almost) detected. It's really the chocolate here that's on display. Medium bodied and consistent through the tasting, this is one for the books for those that like chocolate.
