375ml bottle poured into a goblet
A- pours jet black with a creamy khaki head that has great retention before settling into a ring
S- aroma opens with vegetal pumpkin, followed by faded notes of cinnamon, ginger & nutmeg, having trouble finding allspice and clove. Under the spices, the barrel emerges, adding sharp wet oak and bourbon barrel juice. The base beer provides aromas of charred malt, chocolate, molasses, caramel & brown sugar. the coffee emerges as it warms, adding a green coffee aroma
T- flavor opens with a bold wave of barrel; bold barrel juice, old oak and vanilla. The spices emerge after, with cinnamon leading the way, along with nutmeg, allspice and a hint of ginger. Mid-palate brings out the base beer, adding dark chocolate, black strap molasses, figs, prunes and dates. The finish gives more barrel juice which holds it's own with the base beer. Lingers of bourbon, cinnamon and chocolate, but mostly bourbon
M- medium-heavy body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into a silky, warming finish
