22 oz bomber bottle. Green label with the standard Tabernash/lefthand extended holding a beer....what a minute, that looks familiar...hmmmmm. Oh well, I can't place it. The script is bright orange. Can't miss it.
The beer pours a clear shiny orange color, nearly the same as the label script. Cool, it matches. Nice sweet malt nose, lots of carmel. Hints of fresh bread and toast as well. First taste is very rich in carmel malt, not much hops to notice. But nice full toasted malt flavors. Carmel sweetness rich, and alcohol thins the body a bit, which it right with the style in my limited experience with it. Very easy going down, crisp lager finish, finally a flash of hop presence but not much. A very tasty beer and worth a try. It's hard to explain spring beers, but I could see this one hitting the spot when that first spring day comes. Imagine the temperature hits 55, you're eager to break your sticks out, leave work early and get 9 holes in. By the 6th tee, you still haven't hit a ball solid, your feet are wet and your back is sore. You just want a beer to cheer you up, without thinking about it. This is the beer for that moment.
