Served from tap in a becher at Firkin.
I've heard nothing about this beer, so let's grab a pint! It pours a clear sunset brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises grass, light grapefruit zest, and mild caramel. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some mild mixed greens and a few flowers for good measure. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, this is just an average pale ale, something that's gonna get lost in my brain amongst all of the other entries in the style. Hmm.

Served in a Shaker pint at Beer Run (Charlottesville, VA).
A: Pleasing amber-orange hue with healthy , light beige foamy, frothy head with decent retention and copious lacing.
S: Honeysuckle and orangey aromas with a bit of weedy grassiness and a light caramel malt backing. No yeast or alcohol character.
T: The flavor is overly weedy and vegetative with a harsh bitterness leaving a slightly minerally aftertaste. The malt background is benign and light and medium caramels with solid pale malt base. THe hopping though is a bit harsh and lacks nuance, vegetation and dankness with a light citrus kiss.
M: Fairly dry with light-medium body but the mineral finish is slightly astringent.
O: Not Left Hand's best effort -- needs to mellow and that's not a compliment for a hoppy beer.
