Pours a clear copper with a modest cream head that lingers as a thin layer of foam.

Toasted malt, tea-like herbal and floral hops, and a touch of caramel form the aroma.

Flavor is fairly sweet and caramelly. The finish is grassy, lightly resiny and bitter, with a slight citrus character.

Body and carbonation are moderate.

Well balanced apa. I like the hint of citrus, but wish it were more prevalent.

Pours a hazy orange with a small 1/2 finger head.

Mostly citrus and pine hops with a little bit of a malt backbone.

Starts out with a touch of a citrus flavor. Not much bitterness or flavor in the finish.

A touch watery with medium carbonation levels.

Bland. Nothing horrible about this, but completely unremarkable.

A - Golden color with a nice, medium sized, foamy, slightly thick and creamy, white head. Good retention leaving a decent layer of lace.

S - Decent amount of citrus hops with plenty of sweet honey and bready malt. Touches of floral hops in the back. Hints of lemon and herbal aroma.

T - A bit more malt than the nose along with caramel malt showing up fairly strong. Citrus (grapefruit and orange) and floral flavors are the strongest hop flavors. On the finish there is a bit of a lemon and herbal kick.

M - Medium body and average carbonation. Crisp and a dry finish.

D - Not bad, pretty well balanced and easy to drink. However, it doesn't inspire me for another and is fairly forgetable.

Notes: Average pale ale. Goes down easy and there is a decent hop profile. Overall it doesn't really inspire me though.

The brew is orange amber, hazy, has an off-white head leaving good lacing.

Smells mainly malty of fruits and berries.

A sweet toffee and brown bread start, then oranges, grass and orange seeds.

Medium carbonation, a soft texture, good body and dry finish.

A good malty beer, but balanced with hops.

Pours nicely, orange/yellow colored with moderate cloudiness and carbonation. Lacing could be better. Smells nice - citrus hops and honey. Tastes earthy, creamy, good mouthfeel. Less citrus than the smell would indicate, but there is some citrus crispness. Not real hoppy, not real malty, not real sweet. Honestly, it's a little bland, and there is a little bit of a metallic / acidic aftertaste.

This is an easy-drink beer, probably good for chilling out in the summer. But not exceptional.

The beer pours a nice orange-golden color with a white head. The aroma is wheat and apricots, with a little bit of grass mixed in. The flavor has a light amount of bitterness along with some grassy hops and a little bit of orange citrus. Easy to drink, but maybe a little bit past its prime. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

A - Clear golden/copper appearance with a thin, 3 finger head. Head leaves a thin lace on glass and retention is good.

S - Biscuity malt followed spicy hops scent. Very pleasant.

T - Carmel, sweet malt taste with strong citrus/fruity bite. Dry on the finish.

M - Medium bodied and smooth. Good amount of carbonation.

D - Very drinkable. Overall, a very good APA.

Some APA's are starting to come out a little wimpy. This would be one of those. But wimpy in this style is decent (if not bold) in some other styles.

This one has a lot less going on that most APA's. It's easier to drink, but less of a fun tastey treat.

It's nice and clear with a crisp mild aroma. Extremely drinkable.

A:12 oz bottle. 1 Finger head, honey like in color.

S: Bread like, in a good way. Slight spices.

T/M: Smooth overall good beer, nice blend of hops, just the right amount of carbination. Can't taste the alcohol. Very refreshing.

D: Very drinkable, pale ale, Will be picking this up again in the near future.

Cask at the Brick Store.

Pours a clear light copper color with a one-finger slightly off-white head. The head recedes into a patchy layer on top leaving solid lacing.

Smells of smooth pale malts with a good amount of bready aromas. Also present are floral and light citrus hops.

Tastes similar to how it smells. Mildly dry pale malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by light citrus and leafy hops. Midway through the sip moderate amounts of breadiness work their way into things, carrying through to a moderately bitter ending.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with soft carbonation.

Drinkability is also good. I finished my glass without a problem and could have another.

Overall I thought this was an easy-drinking beer that shone more with the cask conditioning. Worth a shot in any form but more so if it's a cask.

Light amber/golden in color inundated with carbonation and topped with a thin creamy head. Nice thin lacing left on the sides.
Nothing stands out to be honest, I can't pick up a hint of anything jumping out of the glass.
Well balanced with a mild hop aftertaste, as with the smell not too much stands out with this one.
It looks over carbonated but is not. It has a smooth taste with a medium body.
Very drinkable. Each of the above attributes would lead me to think this is a below average beer, but it is very drinkable.

Not my favorite as it lacks character for what I would expect. I would certainly have a few of these on a nice summer day though...

Appearence. Gold/Orange a little hazy, looks to have a pretty large amount of carbonation.

Smell. Super roasty, lots of malt coming through. There is not much to speak of in terms of hops, but definately man other strong and bold scents to pick up on.

Taste. This is definately a beer you can taste at the back of your mouth. Very roasty, a bit of chocolate, malty, this beer definately has a really "heavy" flavor.

Mouthfeel. This beer feels a little wierd to drink to be honest. The flavor seems so close to something darker, like a porter, but this beer is too damn carbonated. It may be typical of the style, but the carbonation and flavor just don't add up.

Drinkability. I guess this sounds kind of strange, but this beer is extremely "drinkable." I've already had 3 of my 6 (which is not typical for me) and must say that this is a good beer to drink. The mouthfeel isn't great, but the beer itself is quite drinkable.

Overall I do like this beer. There is not any single aspect that really turns me on to this beer, but as a whole I quite enjoy it. Definately not for every occasion, do give this one a try if you can get your hands on it.

Pour: Cloudy/Hazy orange with very little head which diminished quickly to a thin lace.

Aroma: Lightly fruity, lightly hoppy. Not too busy.

Taste: A little bit of of fruitiness to start some citrus warming slightly with a bit of malt, but not too much.

Drinkability: Pack a lunch, I could sit with a six pack of this all afternoon.

A: A hazy orange golden color with brilliant yellow highlights.

S: A sweet berry, candied sugar malt and orange citrus hop noted nose.

M/T: A sweet and tangerine citrus taste upfront makes way to a smooth and lightly crisp delicious juicy fruit malt center and an echoing, well balanced finish of sweet malt and bitter citrus.

D: I suspect this would make for a good session...

A- Clear copper with lots of carbonation. Decent sized off-white head with great head retention. Nice lacing left behind.

A- Floral hop aroma with citrus notes. Great aroma on a pale ale!

T- Very clean. Caramel malt notes, slightly biscuity. I get a slightly phenolic finish. Bitter after the initial malt notes throughout.

M- Medium-light body with lots of carbonation.

D- Pretty tasty and drinkable. The phenolic/metallic taste was not so great, but the aroma was great.

Reviewed from notes.

Pours a caramel-copper color with a short white head and not too much lacing. The nose brings some citrus and floral hops, more toward the citrus end. Some light caramel and malt. The flavor is a bit toward the malty end of the APA spectrum, though the citrus hops do put a nice touch on the brew. A bit of mild bitterness and a good body. Drinks pretty well overall.

Pours with a golden color with some haziness to it.
Below avg. foam head that fades quickly, there is a little lacing.
A lot of malty flavor comes through and not a very big hop presence. A bit of cloying and some off flavor, metallic.
Watery in the mouth and a bit harsh.
An average beer in my opinon nothing special.
Drink well my friends

I had this at a bar while visiting Chicago, but I didn't write down the name of said bar.
A- It had a nice caramel amber color with a big, thick foamy head that left a good deal of lacing.
S- Sweet citrusy scent.
T- Full-bodied and malty, with a rye taste to it. Some bitterness. Also picking up some citrus flavors. Good blend. Complex.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a standard pint.

A: Rich, dark golden color. Pretty heavy carbonation. Pours about a 1 finger, foamy, white head. Settles pretty slowly as the continuously rising carbonation constantly refuels it. Some nice spider web lacing remains.

S: Pale, yeasty malt, and a nice light hop note. Subtle floral tone.

T: More hoppy than the nose lets on, but not too much so. A nice light, but full malt also. Tastes like maybe a little clove and lavender in there.

M: Light body, but the hop really 'dries' the palette upon contact. A steely dryness lingers throughout.

D: Good beer to sip or pound. Probably the former, as it's a little bitter, and of course you'll want to enjoy it and all.

Atmosphere is very nice. Deep, rich color tone. Nose is not complex, but a nice balance. Flavor, also not complex, but a nice light body with a subtle malt and yeast, and a not-to-bitter hop bite. Overall, this is a really nice quaff.

A: Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a decent head that fades quickly.

S: Smells like it's jammed full of hops. Major dose of citrus with a sweet malty note.

T: Sharp citrus taste right away that fades quickly to a mellower caramel malt flavor. Finishes cleanly with a peppery cracker like aftertaste.

D: This is a pretty decent brew. From the aroma I was expecting a bit of a hop bomb but it turned out much more balanced than that.

The beer looks average because there is no head on it whatsoever. There looks to be some lacing bubbles but the inner beer looks like an oil slick on top.

It smells of a nice malt/hop balance. The light raisiny malts come through the most for me but there is definitely a slightly floral hop scent as well.

To me it tastes a bit buttery, too thick almost. There's not enough hop bite or carbonation to cut through the malt flavor.

It's definitely a drinkable beer. The mouthfeel is a bit too silky and oily though.

Pours an orange-amber with a pearl colored head. Very good, patchy lacing throughout. Not much aroma. Light malts and a cit of citrus/floral hop smell. Taste starts off with a semi-sweet caramel malt. A lot of bready notes as well. Floral and earthy hops finish the beer with a little, tongue-tingling bite. Flavor is mild and a bit weak in general. Creamy and medium bodied.

Had this on vacation--- recorded notes into my iphone and I am typing them up now. Reviewed with no knowledge of the beer's rating.

Pours an amber colored (it's getting a little dark out to get a perfect view). 2 finger toffee colored head resides to a frothy cap but leaves nice lacing.

Smells of fresh hops. Floral hop notes and citrusy/grassy (but not quite grassy).

Not a lot of malts in the nose, but it comes through on the taste. Sweet and pleasant malts with a clean and crisp hop presence and a nice touch of bitterness towards the finish. Actually finishes a little dry which is pretty nice.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Good carbonation.

This is the kind of pale ale that seems consistently good. Not going to blow your mind, but not going to let you down.
