Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours dark mahogany with a ruby hue and a frothy khaki head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Roasty, dark bittersweet chocolate, coffee, earthy, faint cherry, and a little toffee sweetness.
T: Roasty, bittersweet dark chocolate and coffee, earthy, subtle dark cherry, a hint of vanilla, and toffee sweetness.
M: Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, slightly creamy.
O: Overall it's solid, but I wouldn't mind if the cherry stood out a little more. I was a actually expecting it to be fairly prominent, but instead it's quite subtle, but pleasant.

L:. Pours a dark brown black color with a medium tan head and a wee bit of lacing.
S:. Cocoa and a light tart cherry are present, with a little bit of roast malt smells a little cakey.
T: Rich chocolate mixes with a bit of cherry, some cake like malt and a bit of roast.
F: Slick and oily, with smooth carbonation.
O:. A unique and fairly interesting beer.

I'm not a big black forest (cupcake, cake) fan but this is a reasonably tasty stout version. Cocoa and slightly tart dark cherries are front and center. A well-made novelty but nothing I'd seek out again. But if they make a German chocolate version, I'll definitely bite.
