Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass
Look: Dark yellow in appearance. Poured with a moderate foam with moderate lacing. Very clear and no particulate noted.
Aroma: A sweet malty aroma is the first thing on the nose, followed by the non-traditional hops. Tropical scents come through - again not traditional, but seems to fit well.
Flavor: Once again, major players here are the malt and the Australian hops. The beer is definitely not as sweet as it smells, the hop bitterness is quite present, but not overwhelming. No off flavors noted. Aftertaste is a little bitter, but no overwhelming.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, however a little light on carbonation.
Overall: An interesting take on a pilsner using Australian hops. Definitely worth a try if you can get your hands on it.
