Deep brown with red highlights and some clarity in light. Creamy tan head on top, sticks around and laces. Brown bread and roasted malts in the aroma, maybe a touch of milk chocolate too. Some soft roasted malt flavors and some slight bitterness from balancing hops. They are tuned up a touch too high and take away from some of the roasty flavors, but also not enough to make for a very interesting experience. That said, it's mostly clean in the middle of the palate and nicely drinkable. It has an off aftertaste though, somewhat chalky almost. Worth buying the mixed pack and trying something new, but not one I'd come back for.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, light brown color with a khaki-colored head of foam. It left some foamy sheets of lace. It smelled of roasted malt, coffee, toffee and mild floral notes. It was sweet with toffee, biscuit, toasted caramel and a mild bitterness.

Nice dunkel with notes of bread crusts, toast and nuts...moderately sweet....clean....rounded medium to medium light body...maybe a bit light in body....I love this style and this is a legit dunkel with all the characteristics I look for.
